This flat in Antwerp north is located in a quiet part of the popular neighborhood EILANDJE, close to the Kempisch Dok. The neighborhood Eilandje is becoming one of the popular parts of Antwerp. The new developments and access to older warehouses make this a very funky area. It is extremely popular with millennials and professionals who work fo the port. The proximity to the city center is convenient for when you want to explore the beautiful city of Antwerp.

Roughly, you can translate the neighborhood to “The small Island” referring to the yacht harbor. The harbor is surrounded by old warehouses that host some of the most prestigious companies in Belgium such as Dries Van Noten. Make sure to explore the national archive located in the “Felix Pakhuis” that has been repurposed as an event and restaurant venue. 

The redevelopment of this area started in the early 2000s and even created a large park which is in walking distance from your apartment.
