Description

Jardines is a Bilbao expat luxury rental apartment. Newly renovated and full of bright natural sunlight, this southern-facing flat is an expat’s dream home, whether you are looking for a short or mid-term stay. The elegant, neutral coloured furniture can be easily decorated to call this house a home. Appropriately called Jardines, which means garden, the apartment gives a cosy home feel while being in the heart of a legendary city. Located in Casco Viejo, the old medieval centre of Bilbao, the narrow streets that lead up to the front door are full of local shops and traditional Basque taverns.

This 1 bedroom 70 square meter studio has everything you need inside and nearby. Lack of space is not an issue in this modern style flat. The bedroom has two twin beds, perfect for those of you who are travelling in pairs. It also has a spacious built-in wardrobe that takes up the entire length of the bedroom wall. To give it a more authentic vibe, the door-length windows open halfway to let the rays of sunlight spread across the room.

Moving on to the kitchen: complete with all the utensils, pots and pans, the fully equipped kitchen will provide all the tools you need for your dinner parties. The Nespresso machine is there to help you make a cup of gourmet coffee on those Monday mornings. In the kitchen, and located throughout the entirety of the flat, there are radiators to keep it nice and warm on those cold Basque winter mornings and evenings.

Once you have had your morning cup of Joe, walk on over to the dining room to have a sit-down and read the local newspaper. Or better yet, enjoy the amazing views from the balcony overlooking the friendly streets of the old neighbourhood Casco Viejo. A table and a couple of chairs will be waiting to greet you while you take a moment to soak it all in. After you have had breakfast or maybe even lunch, hop into the shower. Unlike many bathrooms in flats in the area, this one is quite spacious! You will not feel closed in while singing in the shower.

Working from home in your Bilbao rental apartment is convenient. WiFi ready, the living room gives plenty of open opportunity to have a sit down on the sofa and to get to work. If you are the type of person who needs a desk to work at, you will find one here. It has everything you need to comfortably work remotely full-time.

Location details

Only a few minutes on foot from your Bilbao expat apartment and located on the river, you will find the La Ribera market, with its daily offerings of food-truck style delicacies and of course famous pintxo bars. An iconic piece of architecture in the capital, the Santiago cathedral originally built in the 14th century, is an impressive Gothic style monument. Like any Spanish town or city, there are plenty of plazas to visit for a cup of café or to take photos. We recommend you visit Plaza Nueva. If you want to see an opera or cabaret style dance show, then head on over to the Arriaga Theatre nearby.

If you are not in the mood for walking, no need to fret. In under two minutes, you will arrive to a metro station that will take you to all parts of the city in just a few shortstops. In addition, the tram station is only a couple of meters away and there is no shortage of bus stops to complete the public transportation availability.
