Frequently Asked Questions

You have a question? We have an answer.

How much does it cost to rent an apartment in Madrid for 1–11 months?

The cost of a mid-term rental in Madrid depends on the neighborhood, apartment size, and included services. On average, fully furnished 1- or 2-bedroom apartments range from €1,200 to €2,500 per month, with premium properties in areas like Salamanca, Chamberí, or Chueca priced higher.

At Globexs, we offer a wide range of verified mid-term rentals in Madrid, fully equipped and often including utilities like internet, electricity, and water — perfect for a smooth landing in the city. For more affordable options, we also provide coliving accommodations, where you rent a private room in a shared apartment with other expats and digital nomads, creating an authentic and practical living environment.

With Globexs Flex Living, you can even start your stay in a private apartment in Madrid, and after a month, move to a coliving space in Valencia, Elche (Alicante)without signing a new contract. This level of flexibility is ideal for remote workers and nomads exploring Spain while maintaining stability and continuity throughout their journey.

Do I need a Spanish bank account or NIE to rent an apartment?

No, you don’t necessarily need a Spanish bank account or NIE (Foreigner Identification Number) to rent an apartment through Globexs. We specialize in helping newly arrived expats, digital nomads, and remote workerswho may not yet have all their documents in place. Our team understands the relocation process and will guide you step-by-step, making it possible to secure a verified mid-term rental in Madrid even while you're still sorting out your residency paperwork. With Globexs, renting in Spain is flexible, simple, and adapted to real expat needs.

What neighborhoods in Madrid are best for expats?

Madrid is a large and diverse city with many neighborhoods that appeal to expats, digital nomads, and international professionals. Some areas are known for their lively atmosphere and nightlife, while others offer a quieter, more residential feel. Depending on your lifestyle — whether you're looking for easy access to coworking spaces, green parks, or cultural attractions — there's a part of Madrid that will feel like home.

At Globexs, we help expats find mid-term rental properties that match their needs, whether they prefer a central location or something more relaxed. Our team provides personalized guidance to ensure that you choose the right neighborhood for your work, lifestyle, and comfort — even if you're new to the city and still finding your way around.

Globexs is more than housing — we’re your trusted relocation team, guiding you through every step of your move to Spain.

Are utilities included in the rental price in Madrid?

Yes. With Globexs, most mid-term rentals in Madrid include utilities in the monthly rental price, making the relocation process much easier and more predictable for expats. This typically covers electricity, water, gas, and high-speed Wi-Fi, so you don’t have to waste time setting up utility accounts or dealing with local service providers in Spain.

Some apartments also come with cleaning services every two weeks, or offer optional extras such as private parking or workspace upgrades — all clearly stated in the listing. At Globexs, our goal is to offer fully equipped, verified apartments with all-inclusive pricing, so you can focus on settling into your new life in Madrid without worrying about hidden costs.

This model is especially helpful for digital nomads, remote professionals, and corporate relocations, where transparency and convenience are key. With everything included, it’s easier to manage your monthly budget and enjoy a worry-free rental experience from day one.

Can I register at the apartment address (empadronamiento)?
No, unfortunately, empadronamiento (official address registration) is generally not allowed in the apartments offered by Globexs. Our rentals are specifically intended for temporary use, and most landlords do not support official residence registration. If you need to register for immigration or bureaucratic purposes, we recommend contacting our legal relocation team, who can advise you on alternative options in the city.

What if I need empadronamiento for immigration or administrative purposes?

If you need to register your address for immigration procedures, residency applications, or other bureaucratic reasons, please contact our legal relocation team. They will advise you on possible solutions and help you understand your options.

Why is empadronamiento not possible with Globexs rentals?
