A Belgian Evening with a Valencian Soul
On Monday 21 July, the Globexs Community is proud to host a special evening in celebration of the Belgian National Holiday — right in the heart of Ruzafa, Valencia. This event, organized in collaboration with the Belgian Chamber of Commerce and the Belgian Honorary Consulate in Valencia, promises to bring together Belgian expats, international tenants, entrepreneurs, and curious newcomers for a relaxed, inspiring night of networking, local insights, and Belgian flavor.
Whether you’re Belgian, a business-minded expat, or simply someone who loves culture and community, this is a night you won’t want to miss.
A Belgian Evening with a Valencian Soul
Held at the Globexs office (C/ Pintor Salvador 35), this two-hour event — from 19:30 to 21:30 — will blend formal welcomes with informal conversations, light bites, and chilled drinks. The setting is informal, yet meaningful, bringing together people who share the experience of living and working in Spain while keeping their international roots alive.
🔹 Opening Speech
Lodewijk Cuypers, the Honorary Consul of Belgium in Valencia, will open the evening with a welcome and a few words on the growing Belgian-Spanish community.
🔹 Business Insights
Bernard Lentzen, representing the Belgian Chamber of Commerce, will share resources and opportunities for Belgian entrepreneurs and expats living in Spain.
🔹 Sustainability in Action
Wim Cambien will introduce Project Desert Leaves, an initiative that helps companies calculate their carbon footprint and give back to nature by planting trees in areas affected by wildfires around Valencia.
🔹 Belgian Beer Talk & Tasting
We’ll close the evening with a treat: a Belgian expat who brews his own beer right here in Spain will share his brewing story — and yes, you’ll be able to taste it!
Expect free drinks (wine, beer, and soft drinks), simple catering snacks, and a relaxed atmosphere where networking feels natural. This is an opportunity to meet other Belgians in Spain, connect with the Globexs tenant community, and simply enjoy a summer night with good company.
