Best city beaches of Valencia

Best city beaches of Valencia: a Globexs expat-guide

Now that summer is coming, it is of course interesting to know which beaches are definitely worth a visit. We have put the four best next to each other.

La Patacona

La Patacona is probably the best beach, next to the city.

It has a less touristy atmosphere and is more away from the hustle and bustle. This beach is easily accessible by bike, public transport or even by foot.

It is located just after Malvarrosa beach. This beach is surrounded by palm trees and has a lot of beach bars where you can drink cocktails with your feet in the sand!

There are few very popular restaurants on this beach. For example La Más Bonita.

El Saler

If you like peace and quiet…

Clear water, dunes and white sand,… You can find this beach in the southern part of the city: EL Saler.

This beach has such a natural environment.

With the dunes and the white sand it really has this non-tourist atmosphere. You can reach this best by car or by bike.

It is also located near the Albufera Natural Park, great to combine these two!

Pinedo

Are you a dog lover or even an owner? Then this is your place to go: Playa Canine Pinedo.

When summer is here also the dogs are suffering from this heat. Going to this dog-beach is a great way to cool them down. This beach has fine sand and calm waters. However it is only available in the summer months from june 15 until august 30.

The rest of the year, the dogs aren’t allowed.

Port Soplaya

This one is part of Alboraya, a village just north of Valencia.

It is known for its port and its beach, Valencians actually call it little Venice of Valencia.

During the summer they offer a Biblioplatja, this is a library that they installed near the beach so visitors can read by the sea. You also have a summer, outdoor cinema. In other words: definitely a must visit!

Close to the coast we have more than enough apartments.

Rentals in Valencia near the beach

Globexs offers a wide range of flexible temporary expat rentals in Valencia in all price ranges. A large selection of them are located near the beach.
