Restoring nature in Fuente la Reina through reforestation, carbon compensation, and long-term environmental commitment.
At Globexs, we believe responsible business goes beyond providing quality temporary housing and relocation services. As a company operating in an international and mobile sector, we are aware that our activities also have an environmental impact. That is why we remain committed to taking practical and measurable steps that reflect our values and show that we genuinely care about the planet.
As part of this commitment, Globexs has once again partnered with Desert Leaves to support a new reforestation project in Fuente la Reina, an area that was severely affected by a forest fire three years ago. The fire caused major damage to the natural landscape, underlining the importance of long-term ecological recovery and sustainable land restoration.
The reforestation project in Fuente la Reina focuses on restoring a landscape deeply impacted by wildfire. When vegetation is lost after a fire, the consequences can be long-lasting. Soil quality declines, biodiversity is reduced, and the resilience of the ecosystem is weakened. Replanting trees is therefore an essential step in helping nature recover and creating the right conditions for long-term environmental regeneration.
Through this initiative, Globexs sponsored the planting of 48 trees, directly contributing to the restoration of the affected area. This sponsorship compensates 7.9 tons of CO₂, allowing Globexs to offset emissions through a concrete and environmentally friendly action.
For Globexs, sustainability is not simply a statement of intent. It is a responsibility that should be reflected in real decisions and tangible action. Supporting reforestation projects like this one allows us to take a greener approach to our business footprint while investing in a healthier future for communities and natural environments.
Tree planting is about far more than carbon compensation alone. It also supports the return of biodiversity, helps protect and stabilize the soil, and contributes to the gradual recovery of natural ecosystems. In areas such as Fuente la Reina, where wildfire has dramatically altered the landscape, these efforts are vital in rebuilding environmental balance over time.
Our collaboration with Desert Leaves plays an important role in this effort. Their expertise in reforestation and environmental restoration ensures that each project is managed with care and with a long-term vision. By working together, we can support initiatives that are not only meaningful, but also measurable and aligned with our ambition to operate in a more responsible and environmentally conscious way.
At Globexs, we understand that companies today are expected to do more than simply deliver services. They are also expected to act with awareness, accountability, and respect for their wider impact on society and the environment. This is why projects like the one in Fuente la Reina matter to us. They allow us to make a tangible contribution and remain actively engaged in greener, more sustainable practices.
The reforestation of Fuente la Reina marks another step in Globexs’ broader commitment to environmental responsibility. By sponsoring the planting of 48 trees and offsetting 7.9 tons of CO₂, we are proud to support the recovery of a natural area that needs time, investment, and care to grow again.
At Globexs, we believe that being environmentally responsible means continuously looking for ways to improve, reduce our impact, and support positive change. Together with Desert Leaves, we are proud to contribute to a greener future and help nature grow again.
