Total’s largest refinery is located in the port of Antwerp. The complex recently underwent a €1.2 billion upgrade, merging three different parts of the complex into a single integrated refinery to meet demand for lower sulphur, lighter fuels. With its new capacity of 330,000 barrels per day of petrochemicals refined from crude oil transported by pipeline from the port of Rotterdam, the Total refinery is of fundamental importance to the port of Antwerp and is one of the best-performing companies in Antwerp.

Anheuser-Busch is one of the top 500 companies in the world, with an annual turnover of $45b, and is simply the largest company in Belgium, with its headquarters in Leuven, 40 km outside Antwerp.
